"According to a survey of adult store owners, what is the most popular flavor of edible underwear?" asked Timothy Dunn, as a host of the Second Annual Sex in Konover program.
Sex in Konover is a program that was put on by the Resident Assistants (RA) of Regents Park and Park River. As you can probably guess, it was a program that promotes sex education and safe sex practices in a game show format. It is based on the game show "Hollywood Squares", where celebrities sit in a giant tic-tac-toe boards and answer questions.
This version featured campus organizations such as Greek life, Men Against Rape Sexual Assault (MARS), Women Against Rape and Sexual Assault (WARS), Caribbean American Student Association (CASA), Student Government Association (SGA) and Red Caps answering questions theme around sex.
Kate Planow, Associate Director of Student Centers and Activities, said that, "I love Sex in Konover! It's an all around fun program … It's one of the only times that we can talk openly about sex." At the end of a round, the winning team was invited to play in a physical challenge that was also sexually theme. One such challenge had the competitors line up and pass an orange over their head and between their legs. The catch - the orange was covered in lube.
Sex in Konover took place last Thursday, April 19 in Konover Great Room. The event was hosted by Dunn and Jennifer Johnson, an RA from Park River.
The questions were very informative, and students were able to learn a lot from the answers. One memorable question was "How small was the smallest recorded penis?" The answer? One centimeter. Junior, Melissa Esposito said about the event, "Not only did I learn a lot about the human anatomy, but I learned how to use it. It was sexy." In case you are still wondering, the most popular flavor of edible underwear is cherry.
